Early into his TV news career, Timothy Marbun has already had the variety of experiences of a veteran.
Born in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Marbun reports and anchors for several Metro TV programs, and anchors News Flash and Headline News segments. He has also handled weathercaster duties on the English-language "Indonesia This Morning" program. He joined Metro TV in April 2007.
Marbun holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of East London taken at Help University in Malaysia. The newsmakers he's interviewed include Palestine Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Carl Bildt, Sweden's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English. His leisure interests include music, movies and theater.
