BOY NOYA
Boy Noya's passion for sports is reflected in what he does on and off the television screen.
Before joining Metro TV as a sports anchor, Noya covered global sporting events for ANTV from 1994-2000. He then became a freelance soccer writer, reporting on the Italian and English Leagues, and wrote guide books for the World Cup (1998), Europe Cup (2000) and Italian League (1999-2000).
Noya also worked as a newspaper reporter, covering foreign affairs, civil and urban development, culture and politics for the Indonesian daily Kompas.
He was born in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, Indonesia. He joined TFI France's television training program in 1996 after graduating from Christian Indonesia University in Jakarta (Faculty of Law).
Noya was the 2nd prize winner as the Best Indonesian Speaker for Television in 1997. He was a nominee for Best Male Sports Presenter from Tabloid Citra in 1998 and 1999, and nominated as Best Male Sports Presenter in the Panasonic Award 2004 competition.
He speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.
