Marissa Anita is a Surabaya native who joined Metro TV in 2008, and now co-anchors " Indonesia Now " with Dalton Tanonaka. She also is a co-host on the network ' s popular morning show " 8-11. "
She ' s covered big stories as a reporter, including the 2009 Jakarta hotel bombings and the Situ Gintung dam disaster.
Off-camera, Marissa enjoys watching and critiquing movies, and performs occasionally in community theater.

Marissa earned a master ' s degree in media practice from Sydney University following a bachelor ' s degree in education from Jakarta ' s Atma Jaya University. She speaks fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English, and is conversational in Italian, Mandarin and Japanese.
