Indonesia's leadership of the G20 has now reached its peak, as Indonesia has officially began its hosting of the G20 summit in Bali. Indonesia's President Joko Widodo officially opened the G20 Bali Summit held at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel.
As many as 17 leaders of G20 countries, the european union and numerous other global leaders convened at the apurva Kempinski Hotel's Candi Ballroom. To discuss the culminating results of the hundreds of G20 forums held throughout Indonesia's G20 Presidency.
In his opening speech President Joko Widodo stressed that the world has no other option but to collaborate in the face of the dire challenges faced by the world and the global economy. Including surging inflation an energy and food crisis and challenges still being brought forth by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
In a bold statement, President Joko Widodo also called for an end to the Russia and Ukraine war. Saying that countries must respect international laws and principles of the un charter.
