We begin in Afghanistan where crowds of desperate people remain camped outside Kabul's airport. At least seven people died over the weekend amid a panicked stampede to enter its gates. Some people were trampled while others suffocated or suffered heart attacks as Taliban fighters fired into the air to try to drive back the crowds.
