Gojek Tokopedia to Lay Off 600 More Employees

Indonesian tech and e-commerce giant, Gojek Tokopedia announced that they will conduct yet another round of mass layoffs.
According to a recently issued internal memo, which was first reported by tech in Asia. Gojek Tokopedia or GoTo will let go another 600 workers.
Previously, in November last year, Gojek Tokopedia laid off 1.300 workers which at time was around 12 percent of their workforce.
This current round of layoffs will, among others impact employees in its platform for small businesses.
The layoffs are part of a wider restructuring process to help make the company more financially efficient.
GoTo are aiming to become profitable by the fourth quarter of this year, in terms of earnings per share.
