In a separate trial at South Jakarta court today, state prosecutors asked the panel of judges to jail Richard Eliezer another defendant in the murder case of police brigadier Yosua Hutabarat of 12 years of imprisonment.
The prosecutors' demand has triggered upset reactions including from Richard's lawyers. Richard who admitted had shot his fellow adjutant Yosua Hutabarat had been cooperative in the trial according to prosecutors.
Richard and Yosua used to work as adjutants for Ferdy Sambo the prime figure in the murder case. Richard also became a Justice Collaborator to help investigators to uncover the case.
Hearing the prosecutors' demand Richard was seen crying. His lawyers will give their last defense statement in next week's trial.
