The Joker in this film is not played by Jared Leto, but the famous character actor Joaquin Phoenix. In the Joker teaser trailer we were shown that the Joker here was originally a normal clown, whose mother once told him to smile and remain cheerful. And the purpose is to bring laughter and happiness to the world.
