Indonesia raise value added tax to 11%

28 March 2022 18:05

The Indonesian Ministry of Finance is set to increase value added tax in Indonesia by 1%, from the previous 10% now to 11% starting from April 1st 2022.

However, many economists believe that the government should suspend these plans, because it will lead to a substantial increase in prices of goods and services, further spurring inflation.
