After the devastating floods that killed nine people, clean-up and recovery efforts continued in south korea's greater capital region Wednesday (10/8/2022).
Two days of record-breaking rainfall has unleashed flash floods damaged thousands of buildings and roads and destroyed livelihoods for many in Seoul.
While, South Korea's weather agency has lifted heavy rain warnings for Seoul and the neighboring Metropolitan Areas. Seven people remain missing in Seoul and nearby Gyeonggi Province and nine people have died including four who drowned in their homes in Seoul.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol had apologize on behalf of the government and promised more financial help and personnel assistance through central and regional government for the recovery efforts.
