For the first time, the white house is hosting at least a dozen Pacific Island nation leaders for a summit in Washington DC. US secretary of state Antony Blinken thanked the leaders, for agreeing to a declaration of partnership with the United States, to work on their shared challenges together combatting climate change above all.
