Indonesian President & First Lady Arrived in China

On his first stop of East Asia Tour Indonesian President Joko Widodo meets Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. On this summit Widodo and Xi pledged to scale up bilateral trade and expand cooperation in agriculture and food security among other sectors.

Meawnhile after meeting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday, indonesian state palace says that China expressed their commitment to import an additional one million tonnes of crude palm oil from Indonesia. Indonesia is also an important supplier of ferronickel coal copper and natural gas for China

President Jokowi's visit to China is considered rare by foreign leaders under the country's strict Covid-19 protocols he will then hold talks with Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo on Wednesday and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol in Seoul on Thursday.
