Bank Indonesia Optimistic Indonesia Can Achive High Growth in 2023

The Governor of Indonesia's Central Bank Perry Warjiyo stated he is optimistic that Indonesia will continue to achieve high economic growth this year even amid forecasts of a global recession.
 
Governor Warjiyo made the comments on Thursday, following Bank Indonesia's board of governor's meeting. He believes that Indonesia's economy is poised to sustain growth, supported by strong domestic consumer demand, exports and investments.
 
In their official forecast Bank Indonesia is projecting Indonesia's economy to grow by four point five to five point three percent this year.
 
This is similar to growth forecasts made by global institutions such as the world bank which is forecasting Indonesia's economy to grow by 4,8 percent.
