Railway Operator Prepares 1 Million Train Tickets in Jakarta Stations

Eid Al-Fitr Homecomers started moving to their hometowns while related government institutions try to ensure the safety and convinience of travelers. 

Early phase of homecomers begun, especially Indonesia on friday marks good friday as a national holiday, at Senen Train Station in Central Jakarta, on Friday (7/4/2023). 

At least one million of train tickets for long-distance route are prepared by Indonesia’s railway operator for Jakarta area for this year Eid homecoming travel. 

At least 303 train trips are prepared including tickets for additional trips. As of April 6 over 400 thousand tickets from Senen Train Station to various locations on the island of Java have been sold. 

It is expected over 123 million people will travel across Indonesia with various transportation modes during this year's Eid Al-Fitr travel.
