Improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, have become the weapon of choice for Somali rebel group al-Shabab, targeting soldiers and civilians alike. For VOA, Jason Patinkin went on patrol outside Mogadishu with African Union soldiers as they struggle to counter the growing IED threat.
