Saudi Arabia's Government has given one hundred tons of dates to Indonesia. The dates were given symbolically by Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi to Indonesia's Vice Minister of Religious Affairs, Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi.
Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi says, the dates were given as a form of appreciation and gift to all Indonesian people.
At least one hundred tons of quality choice dates will be distributed through Indonesia's Religious Affairs Ministry.
Besides dates, a number of koran copies will be also distributed to regional offices of the Religious Affairs Ministry in the regions for further distribution to Islamic Boarding Schools across Indonesia.
