The peacock has long been one of Myanmar's most prominent national symbols. It was popular during the monarchy which pre-dated British colonialism and is also the emblem of aung san suu kyi's national league for democracy. But while the bird is a common sight in government ministries and souvenir stands the real thing is becoming harder and harder to spot,Thursday (25/8/2016).
