India is the global host of the 2018 World Environment Day. Highlighting its theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution' environmentalists will urge everyone, from those in government, industry as well as ordinary citizens, to reject the so-called single-use plastic items which are slowly choking the planet's waters and the animals that live in them.
