Prince and Princess of Wales Thank Volunteers and Staff Involved in The Queen's Funeral

The Prince and Princess of Wales met staff and volunteers involved in the queen's funeral in Windsor on Thursday.

At their first face-to-face engagement since the queen's funeral, William and Kate met volunteers and operational staff involved in the committal service for the late monarch at Windsor Guildhall. 

They thanked those who had worked on the service at St George's Chapel on Monday afternoon, along with teams of stewards, council workers, ambulance staff, and others who had supported the crowds that gathered in Windsor.

The Prince and Princess are still observing the royal mourning period, which lasts until next Monday. william became prince of wales and heir apparent on the death of his grandmother and the accession of his father, Charles, to the throne.
