In Jeddah, President Prabowo Set to Hold Meeting with Saudi Crown Prince

Riyadh: The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to begin a state visit. The plane carrying President Prabowo and his limited entourage landed at the Royal Terminal, King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, at 21:12 local time.

Upon arrival at the airport, President Prabowo was officially welcomed by the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in an honorary ceremony. Among those present were Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Deputy Governor of Mecca Prince Suud bin Mis'al bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and Mayor of Jeddah Saleh Ali Al-Turki.

President Prabowo also welcomed and passed by the honorary guard. When passing the troops, 21 cannon salvos accompanied President Prabowo's arrival. In addition, there was a welcome from the Indonesian side, namely the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz and the Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Brigadier General Eri Nasuhi.

From the airport, President Prabowo went straight to the hotel where he was staying overnight while in Jeddah, before starting the scheduled state agenda.

This visit is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in a number of strategic areas. In addition, this visit is also part of Indonesia's efforts to carry out active diplomacy aimed at national interests and global peace.

Also accompanying President Prabowo on his visit to Saudi Arabia were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
