Indonesian National Armed Forces Soldiers to Provide Peace of Mind to Gaza

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto will prepare to deploy Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers to Gaza, Palestine. This move is considered appropriate because the TNI has extensive experience and is confident in providing peace in conflict areas.

"Because we are capable of protecting and providing peace between countries in conflict," said Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Eddy Soeparno, at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, as quoted by Antara, Monday, October 13, 2025.

So far, Eddy said, peacekeeping troops sent by the TNI have always been well-received by countries in conflict. The Deputy Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) welcomed the President's plan to send peacekeeping troops.

He also stated that the idea of ??sending peacekeeping troops is in accordance with the country's constitution, which mandates the Republic of Indonesia to create world peace. Indonesia's presence amidst conflict is expected to contribute to peace.

"I am confident that in countries where conflict is occurring, Indonesia can provide added value, provide calm, and accelerate the peace process," said Eddy.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto ordered the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to prepare peacekeeping troops for deployment in Gaza, Palestine, if the Gaza peace summit in Egypt on Monday achieves a constructive outcome and the deployment of troops is approved by the UN Security Council.

Prabowo conveyed this order to prepare to Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita during a limited meeting at the President's private residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, Sunday, October 12, 2025.

The President also conveyed that if a positive agreement is reached, meaning peace, one of the consequences would be that we, Indonesia, would be asked to participate in sending peacekeeping troops. "Thank God, the Deputy TNI Commander was present to also begin preparations," said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.
