Reimagining Education, SIS Group Launches New Global Citizen Hub in East Jakarta

Jakarta: Celebrating a milestone of three decades in education, the SIS Group of Schools held the Grand Launch of its newest campus at SIS North East Jakarta (SIS NEJ Lake Side Campus) on Friday, 10 April, 2026.
The inauguration of the campus, located in the Asya area of ??Jakarta Garden City, East Jakarta, demonstrates SIS's commitment to developing global citizens who are ready to face the future.
The inauguration was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Sarjoko, MM. The presence of these regional government representatives emphasized the importance of synergy between private and international educational institutions and the government in advancing the education ecosystem in the capital city.
Themed "30 Years of SIS: Reflecting on Our Roots, Reimagining the Future of Education," the inauguration event highlighted SIS's long journey of educational innovation since its founding in South Jakarta in 1996.
The event highlighted SIS's numerous achievements, including digital transformation, global collaboration, and commitment to affordable international education.
In a speech at the inauguration, Jaspal Sidhu, Founder and Chairman of the SIS Group of Schools, reflected on the institution's journey as it has become a regional education network.
"Thirty years ago, SIS was founded with a simple yet powerful vision—to provide affordable, high-quality international education. Today, as we celebrate this milestone and launch SIS North East Jakarta, we reaffirm our commitment to reimagining the future of education," said Jaspal.
The campus inaugurated today is the result of a relocation from its previous campus in Kelapa Gading.
SIS Managing Director, Aditya Shah, explained that the move to this purpose-built, international-standard campus in Asia symbolizes more than just physical expansion. It reflects the institution's commitment to providing a continuously evolving learning environment.
Targeting Expansion into New Regions
Amidst the excitement of the launch event, the SIS Group, which currently operates in 17 locations across Asia, also unveiled its expansion blueprint for its fourth decade.Jaspal Sidhu announced concrete plans to build schools in underserved areas. "There are no schools in Kalimantan and Sulawesi. I will build them there," Jaspal asserted to the media.
In addition to expanding to other islands, this commemorative event also emphasized the institution's focus on continuing to forge partnerships with public schools.
As a Cambridge International Center and IB World School-certified school, SIS is committed to continuously transferring its best practices to improve the quality of primary and secondary education equitably across all regions.
