Jakarta: The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) announced that it would prioritize launching Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) in areas with high stunting rates.

“In the coming weeks, we will focus on opening kitchens in areas with high stunting rates,” BGN Head Sudaryono said during a broadcast of Metro TV’s Breaking News program on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

He added that the agency would cross-reference data from the Ministry of Health with its own records to identify the areas most in need of SPPGs.

“If there are no kitchens available in that area yet, we will establish one,” he said.

Sudaryono expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Health’s support, stating that its data helps ensure that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program reaches its intended recipients.

“The Ministry’s data, including free health checkup (CKG) and stunting data, is crucial in informing the implementation of the MBG program,” he said.
