Saudi Arabia to Invests USD10 Billion in Indonesia’s Energy Sector

Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), revealed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shown its seriousness in strengthening cooperation with Indonesia, in various sectors. One of them is in the energy sector.

“(Minister of Investment and Downstreaming of Indonesia) Rosan has also agreed to a value of almost (USD) 10 billion US dollars, for cooperation in various energy sectors," said Zulhas to reporters, in Jeddah, quoted Friday, July 4, 2025.

Zulhas said that so far the relationship between the two countries has focused more on the affairs of the hajj, umrah, and labor.

However, now, he said, Saudi Arabia wants to expand its partnership to the strategic business and economic sectors.

The two countries also agreed to form the Supreme Consultative Council (DKT) led by President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS). The structure of this council will be filled by members and work teams from both countries.

"Later there will be members, there will be a working team including Rosan, including us and the Minister of Religion in the working team," he explained.
