New York: President Prabowo Subianto delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States (US), on September 23, 2025. President Prabowo delivered a fiery speech, discussing a variety of issues, from Gaza to his administration's programs.

The President began his speech with Indonesia's experience facing colonial rule, particularly regarding danger, uncertainty, and ignorance.

"Hatred, oppression, and apartheid threaten our future. My country has experienced this. For centuries, Indonesians have lived under colonial domination and oppression," said President Prabowo at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

"We are treated less than dogs in our own country. We, the Indonesian people, know what it means to be denied justice, and what it means to live in apartheid, to live in emptiness and without equal opportunity," said the President.

"We also know what solidarity can do in the struggle for independence, in our struggle to overcome poverty, disease, and emptiness," President Prabowo added.

President Prabowo acknowledged that the UN provided significant assistance to Indonesia. He recalled the role of the UN Security Council, assisted by other institutions, in providing assistance to a young nation like Indonesia after independence.

Gaza was also a major concern for President Prabowo. In his speech, the President reiterated his support for the Two-State Solution, which could bring peace to the Middle East.
