Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto reflected on the theme of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, describing it as highly emblematic of the identity of the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, revealed the theme of the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration as “80 Years of Police Service for the People.” He noted that the theme reflected the police force’s recent social and humanitarian efforts.
“The theme for this year’s commemoration encapsulates the identity, direction, and moral compass that every Bhayangkara member should aspire towards,” Prabowo remarked during the Bhayangkara Day ceremony on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The ceremony featured a parade, honorary awards, a troop defile, and an exhibition of specialized equipment (alutsus). Unlike previous years, when the ceremony was held at Monas, this year’s event took place at the Cikeas Mobile Brigade Training Center.
“The Cikeas Mobile Brigade Training Center in Bogor serves as an open space for the public to observe the police force at work. It integrates education and training processes to build values and character, as part of efforts to ensure professional and modern police services,” Johnny explained.
The president also called on the Indonesian National Police to continue their duty of protecting the public in service to the nation and state.
“On behalf of the Indonesian government and all Indonesians, I wish a happy 80th Bhayangkara Day to the entire Indonesian National Police, wherever you serve,” Prabowo concluded.
