Prabowo Inaugurates National Electric Motorcycle Ecosystem in Bekasi

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated National Electric Motorcycle Ecosystem (MOLINAS) on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The inauguration was held in the production facility of PT Ilectra Motor Group (ALVA), Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java.

Prabowo inspected several electric motorcycle products directly, accompanied by Coordinating Minister of Economic Sector Airlangga Hartanto, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani, as well as Chair of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid.

The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that MOLINAS was not only a launching of a brand or vehicle model.

The MOLINAS ecosystem will cover industry and manufacture, component and battery, charging and battery swapping infrastructure, funding, distribution, after-sales service, whilst also strengthening market uptake.

“It will be one of efforts to strengthen the development of the national electric motorcycle industry and encourage the creation of an integrated electric vehicle ecosystem,” said Prasetyo in the written statement.

According to Prasetyo’s explanation, PT Len Industry will have a role as lead integrator. That company will orchestrate the collaboration of the stakeholders in the development of the electric motorcycle ecosystem.

“The establishment of this ecosystem is hoped to be able to strengthen industrial downstreaming and enhance manufacturing capacity and domestic supply chain,” added Prasetyo.
