Jakarta: The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered the illicit trafficking of ecstasy at the NCO Living by NIX nightclub in Badung Regency, Bali.

The trafficking involved the club's managers and staff.

The Director of Narcotics Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri), Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the Sub-Directorate IV Team of the Bareskrim Narcotics Directorate, along with the NIC Task Force, uncovered this case after conducting an investigation following a public report on March 20, 2026.

"A total of three suspects were arrested at three crime scenes," Eko said in a statement in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, April 6, 2026.

He stated that the first suspect, identified as BCA, acted as the captain of NCO Living by NIX, a liaison between drug dealers and guests. He was arrested in Room 303 of N CO Living by NIX, Kerobokan, Badung Regency, Bali.

The second suspect, identified as NGR, was arrested in Room 301 of N Co Living by NIX, and the third suspect, identified as SW. SW acted as the manager of N Co Living by NIX, who knew about and permitted drug trafficking at the nightclub.

Eko explained that after receiving reports from the public regarding drug trafficking at the nightclub, a joint team led by Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury conducted an investigation to verify the information and identify those involved in drug trafficking at the location.

On March 30, the joint team conducted surveillance and mapping of the area and identified suspected drug dealers at N CO Living by NIX, he said.

On April 1, 2026, investigators went undercover and pretended to purchase 10 ecstasy pills through a female escort (LC) at the N CO Living by NIX nightclub. After receiving the order, the LC called Captain N CO Living by NIX to conduct an assessment, and then a pharmacist arrived and brought the drugs into the room.

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:15 a.m. WIB, a joint team took action and arrested the pharmacist, identified as NGR.

"A search of NGR yielded evidence of 10 pink Heineken-brand ecstasy pills and Rp 10 million in cash, the proceeds of drug sales at the club," he said.

Following NGR's arrest, the investigation expanded and revealed that other drug evidence was found in room 301. Following the search, six pink TMT ecstasy pills, one plastic bag containing two pink and one green Heineken ecstasy pills, four plastic clips containing ketamine, and four empty plastic bags were found.

Investigators are investigating the flow of drug purchases at the nightclub, with the LC, identified as D, being detained for questioning.

The investigation revealed that the drugs were obtained after an assessment by the captain of N Co Living by NIX, identified as BCA.

"The team apprehended BCA, who acted as a liaison between management and a pharmacist or drug dealer identified as NGR," he said.

He continued, adding that the drug transactions at the nightclub were conducted with the permission of the manager identified as SW.

The joint team also apprehended SW and obtained information that the drug trafficking was being carried out by individuals identified as GS, alias Deksu, alias Datin, and NGR.

"They are not official New Star staff, but they frequently spend time in room 301 and distribute drugs to patrons," Eko explained.

The investigation revealed that the drug trafficking at the nightclub began when NGR began working part-time at N Co Living by NIX in 2025. He worked as a pharmacist, delivering drugs to karaoke rooms for Rp 100 per sale, paid in cash.
