Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto held talks with Danantara’s CEO Rosan Roeslani to discuss the ongoing transformation of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and potential growth opportunities, amongst other issues.
“On Sunday, June 21, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto met with the Minister of Investment and Downstream Development and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, at his private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya wrote, as quoted from his Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Teddy explained that President Prabowo and Rosan discussed accelerating SOE transformation. Of the 1,077 SOE entities, 258 have been successfully consolidated thus far, with an additional 300 slated in the near future.
“This step is expected to improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and reduce the financial burden borne by the state,” said Teddy.
The two also discussed potential growth opportunities, including the hosting of sporting events, music concerts, and other creative industry events. With support from Danantara, these events are expected to strengthen the tourism sector by creating new jobs, attracting investment, and increasing national economic turnover.
