Jakarta: Ahead of the arrival of the first group of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, officials from the Saudi Arabian Hajj and Umrah Board (PPIH) have ensured that all services are ready.

The welcoming of pilgrims will be carried out using an integrated system, including the Nusuk Card standard, which has been active since arriving in Indonesia.

The Deputy Chairperson of PPIH III Saudi Arabia, Ilham Effendi, stated that all preparations for welcoming pilgrims are running smoothly.

A pre-arrival system has been implemented, sending pilgrim data to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj, making the arrival process faster and more manageable.

There are two service schemes for the arrival process. First, a fast-track scheme, where immigration processes have already been completed in Indonesia, specifically for pilgrims from Jakarta, Solo, Surabaya, and Makassar embarkations.

Pilgrims from other embarkations still undergo immigration processes upon arrival at Medina Airport.

PPIH has also coordinated with airport authorities to ensure a smooth arrival process, considering that the majority of Indonesian pilgrims are elderly.

On the first day of their arrival, 15 groups of pilgrims will arrive in Medina in stages from morning to evening.

PPIH is optimistic that, with the various preparations and service innovations that have been implemented, the arrival process and services for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in Medina this year will run smoothly and more comfortably.
