Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated a number of Indonesian Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) to various countries at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday, August 25, 2025. Among them was Indroyono Soesilo, appointed as Indonesia’s Ambassador to the United States.
The appointment of the ambassadors was stipulated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 75/P of 2025 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Indonesian Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
At the ceremony, President Prabowo wore a grey suit, blue tie, and black peci, and led the oath of office, which the newly appointed ambassadors repeated after him.
“In the name of God, I solemnly swear that upon being appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, I will remain faithful to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and will carry out all laws and regulations to the best of my ability for the sake of my service to the nation and the state,” President Prabowo recited, followed by the ambassadors.
The inauguration concluded with congratulatory remarks, first delivered by President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, followed by a limited group of invited guests.
Several high-ranking officials attended the event, including Cabinet Secretary Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Coordinating Minister for Human Development Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, TNI Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Also present were Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar, Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation Brian Yuliarto, Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Communication and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, Culture Minister Fadli Zon, Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono, and Deputy Communication and Digital Minister Angga Raka Prabowo.
The newly appointed ambassadors are:
1. Toferry Primada Soetikno – Ambassador to the United Mexican States, concurrently accredited to Belize, El Salvador, and Guatemala
2. Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo – Ambassador to the United States
3. Andhika Chrisnayudhanto – Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil
4. Abdul Kadir Jailani – Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany
5. Judha Nugraha – Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates
6. Imam As’ari – Ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador
7. Umar Hadi – Ambassador to the United Nations, other International Organizations in New York, and the International Seabed Authority (ISA)
8. Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro – Ambassador to the United Nations, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and other International Organizations in Geneva
