Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting with ministers under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The meeting focused on several strategic steps the government takes to strengthen community empowerment programs.

“The President convened a limited meeting on community empowerment. Several points emerged, one of the most important of which is to continue creating more productive poverty alleviation efforts. What does that mean? Empowerment will be a key focus in poverty alleviation," said Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, in his statement after the meeting, as quoted from Setkab go id, Wednesday, 5 November 2025.

According to Muhaimin, at the meeting, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of utilizing all government facilities to support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

One concrete step is the implementation of Government Regulation Number 7 of 2021, which mandates that 30 percent of public facilities such as airports, train stations, terminals, and rest areas be used to support MSMEs.

"We will also hold the 1001 Night Market, where idle state-owned facilities in strategic locations will be handed over to MSMEs to manage, providing displays, exhibitions, and effective marketing for our MSMEs," Muhaimin said.

Furthermore, the government will continue its efforts to achieve farmer independence through ownership of production equipment and land. The Coordinating Minister for PM stated that the government will prioritize land provision for communities in deciles 1 and 2 as part of its economic equality policy.

"We will encourage the revival of ownership of production equipment among farmers by distributing land to decile 1 communities, with the technical aspects being finalized soon," Muhaimin continued.

Furthermore, the meeting also discussed the issue of importing used goods, especially clothing, which has a detrimental impact. Meanwhile, as part of efforts to improve the quality of human resources, the President and cabinet ministers also discussed scholarships and training for high school and vocational school graduates who wish to work abroad.

"Special scholarships are being prepared for high school and vocational school graduates who wish to work abroad. God willing, 12 trillion Rupiah will be allocated for training and language development for prospective workers working in foreign markets," Muhaimin concluded.
