President Prabowo to Establish Special Team Building Hajj Village in Saudi

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (MBS) had discussed plans to establish a hajj village. This was also welcomed positively by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

"We heard together that all the requests of our President were fulfilled by Saudi Arabia, including regarding hajj housing, later we will discuss, the details will come. Later the President will also provide an explanation after everything is complete," said Minister of Religion (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar, in a press statement in Jeddah, Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

On the same occasion, Head of the Hajj Management Agency (BP) Irfan Yusuf alias Gus Irfan said that President Prabowo would later form a special team to realize the hajj village. The team will first conduct a study.

"Then the third is with the Hajj Village, he (Prabowo) even formed a team to study the possibilities that can be done by the Saudi government and the Indonesian government," said Gus Irfan.

In addition, the Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan is optimistic that the hajj village will be formed during President Prabowo's administration.

"God willing, the Hajj Village during Mr. Prabowo's era will be realized. God willing," he said.
