Police Search 12 Locations Tied to Alleged Corruption

Jakarta: A joint team from the Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police has searched 12 sites across Jakarta and its surrounding areas as part of investigations into several alleged corruption cases.
“Kortas Tipikor, together with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, is investigating alleged corruption involving bribery, gratuities, and money laundering. Simultaneous searches are currently being conducted at several locations,” Head of Public Relations at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said, as quoted by Antara on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
The searches aim to gather evidence in investigations into alleged corruption involving coal supplies; the Asabri and Jiwasraya corruption cases spanning 2020 to 2025; and suspected money laundering tied to the settlement of debts owed by PT CBS to PT KNI.
Investigators have completed searches at two sites in Cipete, South Jakarta – de’Clan Signature Cipete and Koin Money Changer. Searches at the remaining 10 locations are underway.
