State Secretary Denies Reshuffle Attempt to Purge Jokowi's Ministers

Jakarta: State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has denied rumors that the cabinet reshuffle was intended to purge ministers from the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The reshuffle is considered purely the result of an evaluation by President Prabowo Subianto.

"There is no such thing, there is no such thing (an attempt to remove Jokowi-era ministers)," Prasetyo asserted in Jakarta on Monday, September 8, 2025.

He emphasized that there is no dichotomy between Jokowi's ministers and Prabowo's ministers in the Red and White Cabinet. All those trusted by the President are the nation's finest sons and daughters.

"There is no one, there is no one. All are the finest sons of the Indonesian nation," Prasetyo said.

President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated five new ministers in the Red and White Cabinet. One new minister and five new ministers from the reshuffle. In addition, the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah was inaugurated.

The following is a list of newly inaugurated ministers:
1. Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa becomes Minister of Finance, replacing Sri Mulyani.
2. Ferry Juliantono becomes Minister of Cooperatives, replacing Budi Arie.
3. Mukhtaruddin becomes Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, replacing Abdul Kadir Karding.
4. Sjafrie Sjamsoeedin concurrently serves as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Ad Interim, replacing Budi Gunawan.
5. Mochamad Irfan Yusuf becomes Minister of Hajj and Umrah.
6. Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak becomes Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah.
