President Prabowo Plans B50 Biodiesel Launch in July  

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto has announced plans to launch B50 biodiesel next month.
 
“In July, we will launch B50 biodiesel,” Prabowo said, as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
 
The president explained that B50 biodiesel will be produced from palm oil. Its introduction is expected to reduce, and eventually eliminate, C48 diesel imports.
 
“Thus, we will no longer import diesel from abroad,” Prabowo remarked.
 
President Prabowo added that the implementation of B50 biodiesel will help reduce state budget expenditure and support Indonesia’s goal of achieving energy self-sufficiency.
 
“I estimate that within four years, we will achieve energy self-sufficiency,” he said.
