Jakarta: Newly appointed Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sudaryono, has permanently shut down 833 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) and dismissed hundreds of employees as part of an internal overhaul, citing disciplinary violations and misconduct.
A total of 261 non-civil servant employees, including 224 staff members and 37 specialists, have been dismissed from their positions.
The BGN is also pursuing disciplinary actions against 48 civil servants and government employees with work agreements.
Nine employees found to have committed serious violations are facing possible dismissal, while another 39 who committed minor violations will receive sanctions ranging from transfers and demotions to administrative warnings.
The move comes as the government looks to clean up the BGN following a series of high-profile corruption scandals.
