Jakarta: Danantara Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rosan Roeslani announced that in the past four months, Danantara's Investment Management Agency (BPI) has successfully raised USD17 billion, or approximately IDR 277.42 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 16,319).
This funding consists of two main sources: collaboration with foreign sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) and unsecured loans from international banks.
Rosan detailed that of the total funds, USD7 billion, or IDR 114.233 trillion, came from strategic collaborations with several global sovereign wealth funds, including Qatar, the China Investment Corporation (CIC), and the Russia Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
Meanwhile, the remaining USD10 billion, or IDR 163.19 trillion, was obtained through revolving loans from 12 unsecured international banks.
"The loans from foreign banks are provided solely based on trust; they don't provide any collateral," Rosan said at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
Rosan added that the USD10 billion in funding received by Danantara through the revolving facility is the largest in the ASEAN region for a SWF. "Thank God, we just received approval to receive funding of USD 10 billion," he said.
