Jakarta: PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) or PosIND is committed to supporting the rural economy by becoming a strategic partner for all Koperasi Daerah Merah Putih to facilitate the flow of goods from and to villages/sub-districts.

Pos Indonesia Business Development Director Prasabri Pesti said that Kopdes Merah Putih must receive adequate access support to extensive, reliable and modern logistics services.

By modernizing the distribution system, this will open up greater opportunities for village products to compete nationally and even internationally, and the flow of goods into villages/sub-districts will also be more efficient.

"We want the Koperasi Daerah Merah Putih to be able to enjoy modern logistics services. Not only for local distribution, but also to the national and even global markets," said Prasabri in a press release in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

As a follow-up, according to Prasabri, Pos Indonesia has begun building a comprehensive logistics ecosystem that can be utilized by all village cooperatives throughout the archipelago. Pos Indonesia provides transport vehicles such as trucks and logistics cars to support product distribution from villages to secondary cooperatives or wider markets. This is to support vehicle facilities that will also be owned by each Cooperative.

Pos Indonesia has completed a transportation management system (Transport Management System) that can help the Koperasi Daerah Merah Putih monitor and manage the movement of goods in real time.

Open warehouse access in various regions

Pos Indonesia can also open access to consolidated warehouses in various regions, complete with a warehouse management system (WMS). "Not only that, Pos Indonesia will also provide cold storage facilities so that fresh agricultural products and processed foods from the village maintain their quality during shipping," explained Prasabri.

Furthermore, Pos Indonesia also supports the Koperasi Daerah Merah Putih in expanding its export market, starting from the packaging process, document management, to connections to foreign markets. Prasabri emphasized that his party wants to build an efficient village supply chain that is able to compete sustainably.

Not only strengthening physical logistics, digitalization is also the main focus of Pos Indonesia. Products from village cooperatives will be marketed through digital platforms such as posAja UMKM and padi UMKM.

In fact, this company is preparing a special channel that will display various superior products from village cooperatives based on KDMP (Modern and Productive Digital Cooperatives). Pos Indonesia also opens opportunities for cooperatives to transform into business partners. Koperasi Desa can become Postal Agents, sell official stamps, and provide non-bank remittance services.

It is known that the Red and White Village Cooperative program initiated by the government aims to build a village economy based on cooperatives. Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan said that logistics is one of the six core business units that every cooperative must have.

"If the logistics are strong, prices can be suppressed and village products reach consumers faster. This is the key to the village economy growing rapidly," said Zulkifli.
