King Abdullah Hails Prabowo’s Leadership as Jakarta Strengthens Indonesia–Jordan Partnership

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto welcomed King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Friday, November 14, 2025. In his introductory remarks, President Prabowo emphasized the long-standing close relationship between Indonesia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the two countries' commitment to continue strengthening cooperation in various fields.

"Please consider Indonesia your second home, and Indonesia has held Jordan in high regard and appreciation for many years. We look forward to working closely with you, and we also want to thank you for hosting many of our young people for training in Jordan, even now,” said President Prabowo, as quoted from Presidenri.go.id, Saturday 15 November 2025.

"Thank you very much," said President Prabowo.

In his introduction, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein expressed his deep appreciation for the warm welcome from Indonesia and emphasized his long-standing personal relationship with President Prabowo. King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein highlighted how the positive changes taking place in Indonesia reflect President Prabowo's leadership commitment to improving the welfare of the people.

"I must also say that in the very short time I've known you for many years, I've seen your determination to make the lives of your people much, much better. And many of the programs you've implemented are aimed at reaching those in need," said King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein.

On that occasion, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein recalled the close relationship between the two leaders from their time as soldiers. According to King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, this experience shaped the caring and courageous leadership character.

"I think this stems from our time as soldiers. You took care of your men and looked after their families. "So I am proud and honored to be here, proud and honored to call you my longtime friend," said King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein.

King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein also highlighted the significant opportunities open to both countries to expand strategic cooperation. At the end of his remarks, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein again expressed his pride in returning to Indonesia and expressed his full support for President Prabowo's development vision.
