Jakarta: The D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia (HEI) 2026 is set to take place at the Senayan Tennis Indoor Complex in Jakarta, from July 8 to 12, 2026.
Since its inception in 2018, the HEI has become one of Asia’s largest halal industry exhibitions. The event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, international buyers, government officials, and the public in an effort to spark global halal economic collaboration.
This year’s exhibition is organized by PT Angan Kreasi Semesta (Skyconnection), with support from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), BPJPH, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), under the theme “Strengthening the D-8 Halal Economy Through International Collaboration.”
President Director of Skyconnection, Aryo Wibisono, revealed that preparations had entered the final stages, stating, “All preparations are proceeding as planned. We want to ensure that the D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia 2026 lives up to international standards.”
The D-8 HEI 2026 will feature four main programs: the Exhibition, Business Matching, D-8 HEI Talk, and the D-8 HEI Cultural Festival. The D-8 HEI Talk program will include more than 15 discussion sessions –,covering the sharia economy, the halal industry, halal tourism, and entrepreneurship,– led by local and international speakers.
Aryo expressed optimism about the event, noting strong interest from D-8 member states and international partners. Organizers have also invited potential buyers from around the globe, with the aim of fostering perennial economic partnerships.
“We hope this event further strengthens Indonesia’s role as a hub for the halal industry while expanding halal trade and investment opportunities,” Aryo remarked.
Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Türkiye, Sri Lanka, Palestine, and Nigeria are among the many countries that have confirmed their participation.
Aryo encouraged the public to attend the exhibition, stating, “the entire event is free to attend through a simple registration process.”
