Digital Platforms Encourage SMEs to Advance Faster

Jakarta: PT Pertamina is introducing a Learning Management System (LMS) platform as part of the Pertamina UMK Academy 2025 program. This innovative learning system will further facilitate SMEs in implementing the diverse knowledge they gain in their businesses.

The LMS platform is an integrated digital learning ecosystem designed exclusively to accelerate the growth of SMEs in Indonesia. Because it is digitally based, participants can easily follow all learning activities. All materials, assignments, and evaluations can be accessed on one platform, anytime and anywhere.

"This innovation enables Pertamina UMK Academy 2025 participants to be more active, particularly in transmitting the knowledge gained, so that the program can create a real impact on their businesses. This way, SMEs can advance more quickly and have a positive impact on the surrounding community and environment," said Pertamina's Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management, Rudi Arifianto, in a written statement on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Through this platform, Pertamina UMK Academy 2025 participants can also watch learning videos and download various materials according to their selected class: Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online, and Go Global. They will gain access to more than 30 modules to ensure MSEs gain holistic business knowledge.

Various business development materials

These materials cover business legal entities, legality and certification, packaging design, accountability and profitability, and the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Go Modern class. The Go Digital class covers digital marketing, Google My Business, WhatsApp Business, branding strategies, business automation, and an omnichannel mindset.

Meanwhile, the Go Online class covers market dominance, social media sales, logistics and inventory management, and digital advertising. The Go Global class covers export procedures and documents, global market research, company profile creation, and business matching with international buyers.

In addition to these materials, Pertamina UMK Academy 2025 participants will also receive mandatory materials, including learning about the MSE business cycle, the Business Model Canvas (BMC), market research, financial management, and Go Green and circular economy principles.

This LMS also utilizes interactive gamification, ensuring participants avoid boredom while participating in various learning activities. The learning process is transformed into a fun challenge, motivating MSEs to continue developing.

"Through this digital platform, Pertamina can also provide the same standard of quality mentoring simultaneously to 1,490 MSEs across Indonesia participating in the Pertamina UMK Academy 2025. The learning process is also measurable and data-driven because the program's success can be measured quantitatively," explained Rudi.

Helps improve business management

Pertamina UMK Academy 2025 participants also recognized the advantages of the LMS platform. Meat Story owner Hilda Puspita Pratyaharani admitted to gaining many new insights, ranging from business management, marketing strategies, branding, to business legality and certification.

"All the material is presented in a very relevant and easy-to-understand manner," she said.

Grace Garage owner Daniel Alexander expressed gratitude for the LMS platform because he can adjust his study time to his busy schedule. "The classes are flexible, adaptable to our activities. The materials and videos can also be downloaded so they can be studied at any time," he said.

Pertamina's MSE development program aligns with the Prabowo-Gibran administration's vision of creating quality jobs, encouraging entrepreneurship, and developing the creative industry. This development is expected to encourage and develop MSEs, thereby creating jobs.
