Aceh Regional Police Uncover 157 Motor Vehicle Theft Cases

Banda Aceh: The Aceh Regional Police have apprehended hundreds of suspects in connection with a series of theft cases.
 
Police officials presented their findings in a press conference at the Aceh Regional Police Headquarters.
 
The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Regional Police named 229 suspects linked to 157 motor vehicle theft cases between January and June 2026, recovering 223 motorcycles as evidence.
 
Police also arrested another 297 suspects tied to 290 aggravated theft cases and 31 theft involving violence cases. Officers seized 354 items as evidence, including electronic goods, jewelry, and sharp weapons.
 
The Aceh Regional Police reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening law enforcement and urged the public to play an active role in maintaining public safety and orderly conduct in Aceh.
