Indonesian YouTuber Faces Scrutiny Over Alleged Child Exploitation  

Jakarta: Muhammad Janah, better known by his YouTube handle Bigmo, has once again come under scrutiny after allegedly involving a minor in the promotion of vape products during a YouTube livestream.
 
Jakarta Metro Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed that authorities had received a report regarding the alleged child exploitation and were investigating the allegation.
 
The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has also issued an official warning to YouTube and summoned the platform’s representatives to provide clarification over the incident.
 
When asked about the livestream, Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said the platform had “clearly violated not only Indonesia’s regulations but also its own community guidelines.”
 
The Ministry has given YouTube three days to take down the livestream recording and urged the company to strengthen moderation measures on its platform.
