Indonesia and Thailand Strengthen Law Enforcement Coordination  

Jakarta: Indonesia and Thailand have agreed to strengthen law enforcement coordination by expanding information exchange, intelligence cooperation, and joint investigations.
 
The agreement aims to combat a range of transnational crimes, including online scams, which have emerged as a major concern for both governments.
 
The two countries will also work to develop a transnational referral mechanism (TRM) to accelerate the protection, identification, and safe repatriation of victims of transnational crimes.
 
During the meeting, President Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude to the Thai government for facilitating the return of nearly 1,000 Indonesian nationals who had fallen victim to online scams.
