Jakarta: Danantara Indonesia has confirmed that the LRT City project, developed by PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk (ADCP), will proceed. The company is preparing of design and business model restructuring to accelerate the project's completion.
Dony Oskaria, Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Management Agency (BP BUMN) and COO of Danantara, stated that the restructuring would encompass changes ranging from building design to business concepts and commercial areas.
"The primary decision is that we will continue this project. We will engage new architects to carry out the process. We will alter the façade and the business model design, including the commercial areas," said Dony, as quoted by Antara on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
From a business perspective, the LRT City project is considered to hold potential, as it is backed by valuable land assets located in strategic areas. Consequently, the project restructuring aims not only to complete construction but also to ensure the commercial viability and long-term sustainability of the project.
Danantara will adjust the design and business model to ensure the LRT City development proceeds in a more structured manner.
Focus on consumer certainty
The completion of the LRT City project is also a priority due to the number of people who have purchased housing units and are still awaiting the completion of construction. Danantara is pushing for construction to resume with a more focused approach while maintaining the quality of the finished project.Dony emphasized that the decision to continue the project is based not only on commercial considerations but also on the responsibility owed to consumers.
"I hope this is a sound decision. It is a decision that goes beyond mere commercial interests. So, the first step is to bring in the right people immediately," Dony said.
Through this decision, Danantara plans to restructure LRT City across two main aspects: project design and the business model. These adjustments are expected to support the continuation of construction while providing certainty to consumers who have been waiting for their housing units to be completed.
