Prabowo to Meet King Charles III, PM Starmer on UK Visit

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto is set to meet King Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during an official visit to the United Kingdom, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said on Sunday.

“In London, President Prabowo will meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss strategic cooperation, including economic and maritime sectors,” Teddy said as quoted from Antara, Monday 19 January 2026.

Prabowo is also scheduled to hold an audience with King Charles III, with discussions expected to cover bilateral cooperation on environmental protection, including nature and elephant conservation—issues long championed by the British monarch and international philanthropic circles.

The president departed Jakarta from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base on Sunday.

Following his UK visit, Prabowo will travel to Switzerland to deliver a keynote address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos on January 22, marking his first major global economic engagement since taking office.

According to the WEF’s official agenda, Prabowo will share the stage with WEF President and Chief Executive Officer Børge Brende. The forum is expected to draw 61 heads of state and government, along with more than 1,000 participants, Teddy said.
