President Prabowo Establishes Seven New District Prosecutor Offices  

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto has signed Presidential Decree No. 14 of 2026, establishing the legal jurisdictions of seven newly formed district prosecutor offices as part of efforts to improve legal services and strengthen the authority of the Prosecutor’s Office.
 
The seven newly established offices will hold jurisdiction over Pangandaran, Serang, Tana Tidung, Kubu Raya, Lima Puluh Kota, Raja Ampat, and Pesisir Barat.
 
Consequently, the jurisdictions of the district prosecutor offices that had previously overseen the seven areas have been revised, including those in Ciamis, Serang, Bulungan, Mempawah, Payakumbuh, Sorong, and West Lampung.
 
As stipulated in the decree, the existing district prosecutor offices will continue to bear responsibility for the seven areas until the heads of the new offices are officially appointed.
 
The determination of these jurisdictions was carried out in accordance with Article 4 paragraph (3) of Law No. 16 of 2004 on the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia, as amended by Law Number 11 of 2021.
