Bridging the Future: Prabowo Unveils 3,395 Bridges and 3,000 Water Sources

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 3.395 bridges of Indonesia National Armed Forces (TNI)-Indonesian National Police (Polri) and 3.000 sources of clean water.

“By reciting Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, in this morning, Thursday, August 2026, I am Prabowo Subianto, The President of Republic of Indonesia, I inaugurate 3.395 bridges built by TNI-Polri and 3.000 sources of clean water built by TNI-AD (National Army), that has been built for the interest of Indonesian people,” said Prabowo, as quoted from the Youtube channel of Setpres, Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The simbolic inauguration was held in two locations. First, in Bekasi that was attended by Chief of Staff of Indonesian Army (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak. While the second location was in Lebak Regency, Banten, attended by the Head of Indonesian Police (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Whereas, President Prabowo was accompanied by The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Prabowo appreciated the work of TNI AD and Polri. Prabowo expressed his recognition to all members of both institutions.

“On behalf of the government, on behalf of all Indonesian people, on a personal note, I would like to express my recognition and my acknowledgement to KSAD and Kapolri, also to officials in TNI AD and Polri, and all of the members in TNI AD and Polri. I am proud of all of you,” expressed Prabowo.

The eighth President mentioned that the bridge’s construction was a form of service to the public. “You have carried out a mission of devotion, a dedication to the people,” said Prabowo.

Whilst, KSAD Maruli explained that his side has worked on 3.008 bridge sites. Specifically, 2.500 bridges have been built, and 508 bridges are in progress.

“Today I am in Bekasi, which is the 2.500 point that has been completed for almost this seven months,” expressed Maruli.

According to Maruli, the construction of 3.008 bridge sites give access to 9.008 schools. This facility improves students’ access to school.

“So that as the Mr. President expects, the students do not have to get soaked, and do not have to take a high risk again when going to school,” stated Maruli.

While, according to The Chief of National Police Sigit, Bhayangkara Corps has revitalized 895 Merah Putih Presisi bridges, which are spanned across 30 Provincial Police Departments.

“The work was carried out through self-help efforts,” said Sigit.

Sigit elaborated that 874 bridges have been completed. However, 17 bridges are still in the construction stages.

“And 4 units are in the planning phase,” said Sigit.

Other than that, Sigit reported that 874 bridges that have been built are 19,2 kilometers long. That facility connects 1.314 villages.

“It benefits 2 million people, starting from students, farmers,” Sigit mentioned.
