Pramono Anung Create Opportunities to Cooperate with East Ventures to Grow Jakarta's Startups

Jakarta: The Jakarta provincial government is create opportunities to working with East Ventures to support the growth of startups, digital talent, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said East Ventures could be a strategic partner in building Jakarta's startup ecosystem and developing local MSMEs.

"East Ventures is a strategic partner that can connect and build startups in Jakarta and across Indonesia, including local talent and the development of MSMEs," Pramono said on Metro TV's Selamat Pagi Indonesia program on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Meanwhile, East Ventures Co-Founder and Managing Partner Wilson Cuaca said support from the Jakarta provincial government is important to boost arts and cultural activities, which could create jobs and increase foreign exchange earnings.

"If Jakarta can hold many events, cultural and arts activities, and offer better experiences, it will create many jobs and bring in more foreign exchange. This can't happen without help from the provincial government," Wilson said.
